From the distribution centre, the goods are delivered to the retail businesses in the IFCO RPCs. This form of transport also provides optimum protection for the sensitive products.
As IFCO containers have optimum display properties, the fruit and vegetables can be sold straight from the packaging. This removes the need to repack the goods.
The uniform appearance of IFCO RPCs draws consumers' eyes straight to the goods. The green colour of IFCO RPCs also makes the fruit and vegetable department more attractive.
Consumers thus make an association with a clean, fresh, tidy and visually appealing sales display. This was recently confirmed by a study by Heilbronn University.
Even with a uniform appearance, all branding options are still open. For example, in addition to peels imprinted with advertising, special inserts or advertising inlays are possible.
Shelves are replenished with IFCO RPCs quickly and efficiently. Empty containers are simply removed from the shelf and replaced with full RPCs.
The empty RPCs are folded and can be kept together in the stores in a space-saving manner until they are collected.
In this way, only a tiny amount of the scarce space in retail outlets is taken up by empties, and there is no labour- and cost intensive waste disposal.
